The Central College baseball team began the 2011 season this past weekend with a new member of the coaching staff in the dugout.  Former Saint Norbert College assistant Jordan Stauber joined the Dutch staff this winter, after helping his alma mater reach the NCAA Division III tournament last spring.

Prior to returning to Saint Norbert as an assistant, Stauber served as a base running coach at Lawrence University in Wisconsin; during which time the team set school records for stolen bases in a game (13) and in a season (99).

He joins Central Head Coach Adam Stevens, who is in his eighth season with the Dutch.  Last year the team posted a school-record 27 wins and had a record seven players named to the All-Iowa Conference team.

The Dutch will open an eight-game spring-break trip to Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday.
