Central College’s lone representative in the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships is readying himself for another opportunity to mix things up on the mat this weekend.  Freshman Kalen Greiner already knocked off two nationally-ranked wrestlers in back-to-back overtime wins in the Iowa Conference Championships last month, where he finished in fourth place at 125 pounds and earned an at-large bid into the national meet.

Awaiting Greiner in the opening match will be Mack Drees of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  It will be the third time Greiner has faced the fellow freshman this season, with Drees winning the previous matches by decision.  The two are wrestling to secure the final spot in the bracket; with the winner meeting top-seeded defending champion Clayton Rush of Coe College.

The NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships are Friday and Saturday in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
