Area fourth graders participated in an Ag in the Classroom event today at the Vermeer Campus in Pella.

Students were able to learn about a variety of agriculture topics at stations that gave lessons on things like farm equipment technology, food safety, conservation and animal health.

Corwin Fee, a Farm Bureau representative says it was a great opportunity for the students to learn about farming and the role farming plays in the community and the economy.
