A House bill concerning the rights of public worker’s ability to collectively bargain was the main focus of a legislative week that lasted through the weekend. When contacted during the late debate sessions last week by KNIA/KRKLS News, State Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven said the bill started with more than 150 amendments, a big factor in why debate lasted so long. The bill passed along party lines Friday. Van Engelenhoven says the fate of the bill is now in the hands of the Senate.
