The Knoxville School Board met in regular session last night.

At the meeting the board approved a proposal of a 1.25% total package increase for agreements with associates, tabled a request from the Chamber of Commerce to use district vehicles during Nationals due to no representatives being present to answer questions, appointed 23 people to the auditorium committee, authorized coaches Eric Whitcome and Troy Rider to speak with area businesses and organizations about pledges for construction of a physical education and weight training facility, and set a public hearing date for April 11th in regards to approval of the 2012 certified budget.

The board also received updates on the Iowa Core Curriculum implementation and the energy efficiency program.

Also approved was the 8th grade field trip to Washington DC, a middle school football camp and renewal of sharing agreements with Chariton, Pleasantville and Melcher-Dallas schools.
