Knoxville Basketball Player Katie Ayers was a standout on the hardwood this season for the Panthers…now she has been recognized for her efforts in the classroom. Ayers was named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State team. Of the 110 nominations…just 28 were selected and Ayers is one of them. To be nominated a player must have at least a 26 on the A-C-T…a 3.52 G-P-A…and be in the top 75-percent of their senior class. Ayers averaged six-point-six points per game and led the team with 144 total rebounds this season. Knoxville went seven-and-15 this season.
