People looking for more ways to go green will have some help at the Pella Public Library on March 28th. Sara Bixby, Director of the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency will give a presentation on alternatives to chemical cleaners called “Saving the World with Baking Soda and Vinegar.” Vinegar, in combination with other common household items, can be a safer, non-toxic alternative to many conventional cleaning products, and can even be used to replace shampoo. The presentation is at 7pm, and is free and open to the public.
