The name of a Marion County man who is being treated for life-threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck last week has been released. 75 year-old Lee F. McClune of Knoxville was traveling east on interstate 80 last Wednesday when he got off on an exit in Davenport and continued through a red light. At the junction of the ramp at which time he struck a semi heading northbound. The force of the crash forced the truck into another tractor trailer heading in the same direction.

McClune has since been transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City after receiving initial treatment at the Genesis Medical Center in Davenport.

He is the president and founder of the Sorgonal Production Company of Knoxville, which produces ethanol from sweet sorghum, reportedly a more efficient process than that which produces ethanol from corn. University Hospitals in Iowa City would not release information on his condition.
