The PCM Mustangs handed Pella Christian a loss for the second time this season on Monday night. In the opening round of the Class 2A State Tournament, #1 PCM got all they could handle in the first half from #8 Pella Christian as heard on 92.1 FM KRLS.

The Eagles jumped out to an early six point lead behind a pair of threes from Curtis Rozenboom. McCarthy scored 6 key-points in 7 minutes as Bruxvoort was on the pine. PCM would take their first lead of the game heading into the locker room at 27-26.

PCM’s lead grew to as much as 19 during the 4th quarter, as Josh Fosenburg and Dillon Bruxvoort got into the scoring action. In the end, the whole was too big for Pella Christian and PCM saw their undefeated record stay intact as they went on to win 63-51.
