Pella Christian/PCM In Opening Round Of Class 2A Boys State Basketball Tournament

The Class 2A State Tournament kicks off this Monday with two of our area teams squaring off in the first round. Pella Christian (#8) will tip-off against the top-seeded Mustangs in a rematch of the regular season in the first round of the Class 2A Boys State Basketball Tournament Monday night. The Mustangs have yet to lose a game this year (25-0). Pella Christian enters the game 20-5.

The two teams met once in the regular season in December and PCM won by a narrow victory (52-46). The winner of Monday night contest will advance to play #4 Treynor (23-1) or #5 Western Christian, Hull (23-2), who play the preceding game on the same night.

Pella Christian and PCM are set to get underway at 8:15PM. You can catch the pre-game show on 92.1FM KRLS at approximately 8:00PM with Eric Grillaert and Wynne Veenstra.
