A light dusting of springtime snow Tuesday shouldn’t be a problem for freshly planted tulip gardens. Steve Vermeer with the Pella Nursery says tulips can handle lower temperatures than we’ve seen the last couple days and adds that the ground temperature is still relatively high. He says if temperatures do stay low, people could use mulch for a bit of extra insulation.
