Another area of the Knoxville Girls Track and Field Squad that looks to be strong this season is the sprint races. Coach Jeremy Van Engen says he has more depth that he has ever had in the sprint races. He adds five seniors will lead the short races this season. One is Amy Turner who has already turned in good times in indoor competition. Van Egnen is also glad to have Jaci May back. May missed the entire season last year due to a foot injury. Van Engen adds that a nice addition is Alex Abens who he says is already one of his fastest runners. The Panthers are scheduled to compete at the state indoor meet in Cedar Falls today.
