Knoxville Fire and Rescue, the Knoxville Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident south of Knoxville at approximately 3:30 this morning. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office the accident occurred in the 1500 block of highway 14 near the airport. Two people were transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics via ambulance to be treated for non-life threatening injuries including one female juvenile. Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
