Law enforcement personell from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Melcher Police Department, South Central Iowa Drug Task Force Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Knoxville Police Department K-9 unit issued a search warrant at 216 NW 1st Street, Melcher yesterday. Officers seized a small amount of marijuana and prescription medications that belonged to people who do not live at the residence. No arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation with criminal charges pending.
