Knoxville’s Alex Abens made it official yesterday as she will trade black and gold for William Penn blue and gold next winter and play basketball for the Lady Statesmen. Abens finished an outstanding career on the hardwood at Knoxville averaging just over 13 points per game this season. She averaged 9.5 points for her career at Knoxville. Abens was also main contributor of the 2010 team that made the class three-A state tournament. William Penn is an N-A-I-A school and is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference.
