Three area softball players will continue their respective careers at the college level at Grand View in Des Moines next spring. Knoxville’s Jessica Stickel, Melcher-Dallas’s Ashley Dittmer, and P-C-M’s Shelby Feldt have announced they will play for the Vikings. Stickel was the lead pitcher for the Panthers last summer. She had a 2.63 earned run average, Dittmer batted 302 for the Saints in 2010, and Feldt is in her second season at Iowa Central Community College where she currently has a 444 batting average with 36 hits. Grand View is an N-A-I-A school and is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference that also has nearby member schools William Penn and A-I-B.
