At least two businesses have expressed interest in housing a Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Knoxville. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs posted a request for expressions for a Knoxville CBOC last month as they look to possibly move the clinic off the VA campus. Smith’s Carpet and Decorating, located on West Pleasant Street in Knoxville has expressed interest along with Sugar Associates LLC out of Baltimore Maryland. In order to be considered the lease needed to be for a building that has at least 12,385 usable square feet, preferably on one floor, with a minimum of 105 parking spaces adjacent to the building with all areas meeting the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Interested parties are asked to submit general information such as the building name, address and age, total rentable square feet, rental rate, scaled building plans and evidence that the property is outside the 100 year flood plain. Expressions of interest were due to the VA by 4pm yesterday.
