An Eco-Fair is planned for this Saturday at Central College. The fair is intended to promote sustainable-living initiatives through various programs and demonstrations, including presentations on starting your own organic garden, canning your own vegetables and cooking with your own produce and others. The event will also feature tours of Central’s LEED-certified buildings and a poster drawing contest for elementary students. The idea for the fair was developed by Central student Michelle Stewart who attended the Clinton Global Initiative Conference last summer in Miami, where students had to propose a commitment to action plan for their campuses. The Eco-Fair will begin at 9 am Saturday April 9th at the Graham Conference Center.
