The Knoxville boys tennis squad headlines a very busy day on the playing field for Knoxville today. The Panthers stand at oh-and-one on the season after last week’s opening loss to Albia. Coach Joel Tonda says the guys were able learn a lot about themselves after last week’s match. Tonda says the success this season may not be reflected in wins and losses, but how much does each player improve from one match to another. In other sports action involving Knoxville team today, the Boys Track and Field Squad goes for its fourth meet title in four tries at the Charger Relays in Chariton. Two events have already been called off for today. While the boys tennis squad stays at home to host Pella Christian, the girls will travel to the Tulip City to face one of the Little Hawkeye Conference favorites in Pella Christian. The Knoxville soccer squads were supposed to play South Tama tonight. However the girls match has been postponed indefinitely, and the boys will now play the Trojans on Thursday in Toledo.
