Knoxville boys and girls tennis matches were rained out yesterday. The boys were scheduled to travel to South Tama while the girls were supposed to host the Trojans The girls won their first match of the season Thursday night over Saydel. The boys meanwhile, were coming off a third place finish in the Knoxville Invitational and an 11/love loss to Indianola. Boys Coach Joel Tonda says while there are five seniors in the top six positions on his team, the experience is not quite there. Tonda says practice help, but getting actual match play is the best thing that will give his guys the experience they need. Tonda says a player can practice well, but the transition from practice to match play is at times a very difficult change.
