Facing their second ranked opponent in as many days, the Pella boys soccer team found itself tied with Grinnell in the final sixty seconds of the match, only to lose 2-1 on a heart-breaking chip shot.
The Tigers struck first, capitalizing on a breakaway in the 27th minute of the first half.  That score held for the majority of a physical, back-and-forth match, before a header by Pella’s Grant Barrick on a corner kick tied the match at 1-1.  However, with under 30 seconds remaining, the Tigers punched in a 25-yarder into the top right corner of the Little Dutch goal to win.
The Pella boys soccer team is now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
