Despite a lopsided advantage in shots on goal, the Pella Christian girls soccer team was stunned by Chariton 1-0 Thursday night.  The Lady Eagles out-shot the Chargers 25-2, but one of those two shots for Chariton found the back of the net three minutes into the second half and proved to be the game winner.
It was the first time Pella Christian had been defeated by Chariton since the two began playing each other in 2002.  The Lady Eagles had won the previous 11 matches.
Pella Christian is now 2-6 on the season and will have to quickly put the loss behind them, as they travel to Newton to take on a very strong Cardinals team on Monday.
