Pella Christian squared off with Newton Tuesday night and fell 3-2. It was a back and forth game until the very end, when, with 2:00 minutes left Newton scored on a corner kick. Jacob Dahm scored the Eagles first gaol to tie the game at 1-1. Dan Hessing later scored on a diving header to tie the game at 2-2, but the goal on the corner kick capped it for Newton.

The Eagles fall to 1-6 with the loss, but have a big tournament coming up this Saturday, where Pella Christian will be guaranteed at least 2 games.

Coach Josh Visser says the boys have been playing great and is confident that will translate into wins.
