A group of athletes from Pella High School is hosting a special event to recognize the contributions of the school’s coaching staff this evening.  The Pella Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle will hold its third annual “Coaches Appreciation Banquet” as a way to give back to the coaches that have dedicated the time to enrich the lives of the many student athletes who move through the program.  This is the third year for the banquet, which is organized almost exclusively by the students.
Aaron Thomas, Athletic Director at Aplington-Parkersburg High School and son of the late coach Ed Thomas, will be the event’s featured keynote speaker.  The event begins privately, but is opened to the public at 7:00 tonight for the speaker and formal program.  Members of the community are encouraged to attend to help thank the coaches for their efforts.  The Pella High Fellowship of Christian Athletes “Coaches Appreciation Banquet will be held in the Vermeer Global Pavilion in Pella.
