There’s a new addition at the Pleasantville High School that provides hands-on learning for horticulture students. A greenhouse was built on the south side of the high school this year and the community is invited to come celebrate the grand opening.
Free pork burgers will be grilled by the Marion County Pork Producers along with free coffee from Smokey Row and plant raffles.
A variety of annual and perennial flowers and vegetable plants will be available for sale and the students will hold the plants in the greenhouse until customers are ready to plant them. All proceeds from the sale will support the horticulture program.
The grand opening will be held today from 10am-6:30pm and tomorrow from 11am-4pm.
