It is starting to become a weekly occurrence for Former Pleasantville Softball Player now University of Missouri Pitching Ace Chelsea Thomas. Have a great weekend in the circle…and receive the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week. She earned that award again this week with a 3-0 record last week with two wins in extra-inning thrillers over Oklahoma last weekend where she unleashed over 300 pitches in two games, allowed only two earned runs, struck out 44 batters and virtually shut down one of the nation’s best hitting teams in Oklahoma. Thomas says with the success the Tigers have enjoyed the last two seasons in getting to the Women’s College World Series…it has fueled their desire to bring home a national championship. Thomas spoke with KNIA/KRLS on last night’s Marion County P-M Sports Page. Thomas had the day off yesterday against St. Louis University in which the eighth ranked Tigers won both games. Thomas will be back in the circle this weekend she pitches against Big 12 rival Nebraska in Lincoln.
