Prescription drug abuse is a rising issue in the U.S. and many Americans question what to do with their unused medications. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is allowing area residents to properly dispose of their unwanted prescriptions later this month. The event is an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Pills can be dropped off at the Marion County Law Enforcement Center April 30th from 10am to 2pm. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
