The National Weather Service will host a comprehensive multi-media storm spotter training presentation in Knoxville this evening. The free course contains information about severe weather climatology, severe weather types, different severe weather threats and how to identify them and how to report severe weather, spotter safety and severe weather communications. All members of county emergency services are encouraged to attend the training though it is also open to members of the general public that wish to become storm spotters. The class will begin at 7pm at the new Marion County Public Health building located at 2003 North Lincoln in Knoxville.
