More than 2,200 runners turned out for the Klompen Classic last night. The annual 5k is the Crossroads of Pella’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The overall winner for the men was Julius Rotich of West Des Moines with a time of 15:46. The lead runner on the women’s side was Robyn Friedman from Newton, she posted a time of 16:54.
