Art 101 in Knoxville is off to a busy spring and summer. A new photography exhibit by local artist Jeff Saltzman is available for viewing, and they have just announced a series of classes for kids that will take place this July and August. Gallery co-owner Frank Mathias tells KNIA/KRLS that they also have a special work of art for the first Knoxville Movie Night of the season tomorrow night where the movie “How to Train a Dragon” will be shown at Auld Park. The studio has constructed a 30 foot long Chinese style dragon in the image of “Toothless,” the star of the movie. “Toothless” will leave Art 101 and circle the square at noon on Tuesday. It will then travel to Auld Park at approximately 5pm when the festivities for Knoxville Movie Nights will begin.
