The Central College men’s golf team returns to the NCAA Division III championships for a 30th time in the program’s history, as the Dutch begin competition today. The tournament is being held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina, and comes at the end of a dominating season under first-year head coach Chad Green.
Green was named Iowa Conference Coach of the Year, and led Central to its 29th league title last month to earn an automatic bid into the tournament. The Dutch played practice rounds Sunday and Monday, and will begin play tomorrow today on the resort’s par-72, 7800-yard West Course.
