One goal was all the Pella girls soccer team would need to earn a solid win in non-conference play Monday night, as they defeated Nevada 1-0. Addie Van Vleet scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal in the first half, and the Lady Dutch defense held strong from there to close out the victory.
The win improves the Pella girls record to 10-3 and starts off a very challenging week with some positive momentum. Nevada entered Monday night’s game ranked No. 6 in Class 1-A, and the Lady Dutch will face Grinnell tonight and ADM/Van Meter on Friday, which are ranked No. 14 and No. 9 in Class 2-A, respectively.
