The boys soccer postseason has arrived as the Knoxville Panthers will try to make another run to the state tournament. Last season Knoxville was the story of the postseason as the Panthers ran all way to state for the first time in team history. Tonight’s first round sub state opponent is Oskaloosa, a team that Knoxville beat earlier in the season. Coach Jon Smith says while they were not head over heels about the season in 2011, he adds the postseason brings new opportunities. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 at the Randy Wilson Field. The winner of tonight’s match gets a trip to Pella to play the Little Dutch Wednesday night in the sub state semi-finals. Another area team involved with the soccer sub states is P-C-M, the Mustangs will play at Dallas Center-Grimes in a 6:30 kick off.
