The Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Board of Trustees has announced they have entered a management agreement with Mercy Medical Center. Previously, the hospital was managed by QHR based in Tennessee, the new transition will take effect on May 9th.
The decision to retain Mercy Medical Center management follows an in depth evaluation and analysis of their long term goals to remain a community owned hospital, providing a high quality of care to their patients.
Board Chairman Mel Suhr says they have enjoyed a long relationship with QHR and the Board wishes to thank them for their years of service. All heath care services and providers at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics will remain the same.
Mercy will now provide assistance with financial planning, leadership development and other functions key to operating a community hospital.
