Knoxville won its first run-rule game of the season with a ten-to-nothing route of Winterset last night in five innings. Justin Katich pitched the five inning gem allowing just a single hit that coming in the top half of the fifth. Meanwhile Knoxville’s offense benefited from nine walks issued by Winterset pitchers. Lance Daugherty went two-for-two at the plate with two R-B-I’s. Katich walked just one batter while striking out three. Knoxville is now 3-0 on the season and are off for the holiday weekend, the Panthers host Pella Christian on Wednesday.
