It was more than 24 minutes into the first half before the Pella Christian girls scored their first goal, but the floodgates opened after that is the Lady Eagles routed Centerville 7-0 on Monday night.
Christina Nolte scored the opening goal for Pella Christian, adding a second goal just 8 minutes later.  The Lady Eagles also got two goals from Ana Macz, with Lindsey Pierson, Jalissa Morgan and Karianne Bolt accounting for the remaining three scores.
Defensively, Pella Christian stymied the Big Red, holding them to just three shots and helping goalkeeper Abbey DeBruin set a new team record with her 13th career shutout.
The Lady Eagles will try to keep their momentum moving forward this evening when they host Oskaloosa.
