A trip to the Class 1-A State Tournament is on the line for the Pella Christian girls tennis team, as they prepare to compete in the team tennis regional final in Grinnell on Monday afternoon. It’s been an impressive run for the Lady Eagles, who appear to have peaked at the perfect time.
Pella Christian Head Coach Faith Bliss says for the team to continue to be successful, they’ll need to keep their mental edge, regardless of the competition.
“The girls have to get their heads and get ready to play and continue doing what we’ve been doing throughout the season,” says Bliss. “[We need to] continue playing smart and knowing where the shots need to fall.”
The Pella Christian girls tennis team takes on the powerhouse program from Waterloo Columbus at 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon in Grinnell.
