Local Golfers Drive On To State Tournament

The Pleasantville Girls Golf Squad has qualifyed for the class 2A State Tournament. The Trojans finished runner up to Clarinda at the Nodaway Valley regional allowing them to make the state tournaent field. Pleasantville was led by Kaitlyn Friday who shot an 88 for the round. Also, Pella’s Kelsey Van Tasell qualified as an individual for the class 3A State Tournament. She shot an 82, good enouph for runner-up honors at the Regional in Winterset. As a team, Pella finished in a third place tie with Ballard with a score of 386. Only the top two teams make the state tournament on May 31st and June 1st.
