Graduation has come and gone for many area students and for some the trek to college will begin with finding loans to help pay for it. Brent Gaulke, a loan officer at Marion County Banks says the first place to go when planning those finances is the school itself, for advise on scholarships, grants, work study programs and other financial aids. Many reports highlight the increase in student debt as the job market continues to recover. Gaulke says if a student finds repayment difficult, the important thing is to keep an open dialog with the lender to see what adjustment can be made.
