In winning their third game of the week, the Pella Christian baseball team is off to a promising start for the 2011 season. Friday night the Eagles made Clarke their most recent victim, posting an 11-4 win over the Indians.

Pella Christian racked up 15 hits on offense; with four players recording three hits or more. Kyle De Ronde led the way at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.

While the Eagles offense was clicking, starting pitcher Micah Neboer held Clarke at bay by limiting the Indians to two runs on five hits while striking out three and walking none in four innings of work.

Following up wins over Pleasantville and Southeast Warren, the Pella Christian baseball team is now 3-0 on the season, with a game at Ballard on Tuesday up next on the schedule.
