Behind finishes of fifth place or better in all four flights, the Pella boys tennis team was able to claim second place in Monday’s Little Hawkeye Conference tournament.
The Little Dutch finished with 38 points – 6 points behind conference champion Grinnell. The Knoxville boys took fifth place with 23 points, while Pella Christian finished in seventh place with 12 points.
Highlighting the day for Pella High was a first place finish by the duo of Rick Williamson and Nick VanGorp over Norwalk in 2nd Flight Doubles, and Brannon Johnson earning second place at No. 2 singles.
