A local high school student is one of a select few who will go abroad this summer to try and ease world hunger. Sarah Brandsen, a junior at Pella Christian, will be traveling to China to intern at China Agricultural University. The internships are a part of the World Food Prize Borlaug-Ruan International program, and were awarded to 18 students from seven states. The interns work on projects relating to hunger and poverty.
