This week is National Nurses Appreciation Week. Yvonne O’Brien, Chief Nursing Officer at Pella Regional Health Center says she’s impressed by the longevity of the careers of the nurses there, with hundreds of years of combined experience serving their community. Cindy Stirratt and Pam Boat, both Nursing Supervisors, say it was the humanitarian aspect that drew them to the field. Both women say they enjoy the personal relationships they develop with patients, which they agree is the most rewarding part of the job.
