Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum spoke in Pella yesterday. The Republican was in town as part of the Family Leader Organization’s Presidential Lecture Series. Santorum reacted to yesterday’s news of the killing of al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. Santorum says he was excited to hear the news about bin Laden and hopes that the vigilance displayed in that mission is carried on in fighting the other elements that he says still pose a threat to US security. He says based on the circumstances surrounding the killing of bin Laden, that the US hasn’t always received total cooperation from the country of Pakistan.
