Summer reading programs at the Pella Public Library are set to begin in just a few weeks. The adult reading program will run from June 6th through July 30th. Library Director Wendy Street says there are some great prizes available for people who fill out entry forms for the books they read, including an e-book reader and $100 in Pella Bucks. Youth Services Librarian Katie Dreyer says programs are also planned for students beginning June 6th. Local author Jackie Van Wyk will be on hand to read from her book “Timothy the Rat Tailed Cat”. Youth program sign up begins at 5 pm June 6th.
