An 80-year-old Iowa man is riding horseback across Iowa for Alzheimer’s research. Bill Taylor and his horse Liberty started their trek Monday, reaching Knoxville yesterday. They began the 259-mile journey in Grandview, and have covered over 100 miles in 5 days. They spent last night at Knoxville Raceway. Taylor says he has seen many family members and friends suffer with the disease, and finally decided there must be something he can do about it. He says he is taking check donations as he goes, and that money is going to the University of Iowa Hospital for Alzheimer’s Research.
You can also donate online by visiting The University of Iowa Foundation site and following these steps:
1. In the Area of Interest drop down menu, pick “neuroscience.”
