Marion County communities are gearing up for the 4th of July. Leighton will have their 4th of July celebration on July 1. They’ll have an evening parade at 7:30, and fireworks will start at 10.
Pella has family activities lined up starting at 9:30 on the morning of the 4th. This includes fishing, inflatables, and horse ride. The parade will follow, starting at 2:30.
Pleasantville and Bussey also have some 4th of July celebrations planned. Currently, Bussey will have a parade at 10 am on Independence Day, while Pleasantville has a parade planned for 11 am that day as well. Both Pleasantville and Bussey will have a fireworks show at dusk.
