Along with all the activities that accompany the Coal Miners Day at Melcher-Dallas this weekend, the Saints Softball Squad will host the Coal Miners Invitational. Coach Jim Crozier says The Coal Miners Invitational is a way to let the girls stay in town and not only be a part of the festival, and allow visitors a chance to see softball games during the day. Melcher-Dallas will take on Pleasantville in the first game while Southeast Warren will battle Lamoni in the second game. A consolation and championship game will be later on in the day on Saturday.
