The Knoxville City Council met in special session Monday to approve the purchase of the property at 901 West Main Street. The property, which has a Housing and Urban Development house on it, was purchased for $5000.Knoxville Zoning Administrator Cindy Glick says that this is one of three properties that they have eyeing to demolish. After the demolition, they will look to resell the lot at an equal or slightly higher value of purchase price.
