The Knoxville Community School Board met twice on Monday. The first meeting was a long one, as the board met for eight hours, interviewing candidates for the proposed auditorium project. Later in afternoon, they met in regular session. At the regular session, they agreed to meet again next Tuesday, the 21st, at 6pm to discuss selecting an architect for the project. They approved the purchase of new materials for the elementary Social Studies program and released the filing dates for the 2011 School Board Election. Those wanting to run will need to file between July 11 and August 4.
